Ep. 19: The Conversation We Really Should Be Having About Afghanistan
The situation in Afghanistan is truly devastating. So many active duty service members, veterans, and their families have been affected by this 20-year war—some giving the ultimate sacrifice—and they are struggling to come to terms with how the events are unfolding. This week’s special episode is not just for military spouses, but for ANYONE who is (or was) a part of the military family. I’m sharing important advice to help you be open with loved ones who are struggling with suicidal thoughts (whether they show it or not.) I’ll also dig deeper into what it means to create safe communication spaces, how to do it, and why even small gestures can make a huge impact for someone struggling with a burden.
