There are a little over 200 call sign prefixes commonly issued in the United States. Ideally, you will learn the callsign prefixes as a single sound pattern, which will help you utilize a memorization technique called chunking. This will make it much easier to head copy longer callsigns. Recognizing the prefix as a single thing reduces the amount you have to hold in your short-term memory.
For each callsign prefix, try to head-copy it. First, the prefix is sent twice in Morse code. Then it is spoken. And finally, it is sent again in More code. If you missed it the first time when it was sent, the second time allows you an opportunity to learn the words.
