One thing life has taught me is that just about everyone you see is going through something. Nearly all of us are going to go through something difficult if we aren’t in the midst of a situation right now.

Some are dealing with chronic health challenges. Some are dealing with economic uncertainty and instability. Others are dealing with grief and loss, unspeakable pain. For some it’s the weight of parenting, or taking care of parents. And for still others it’s struggles with a relationship or the longing for a relationship that may never be. For some it’s the death of a dream. 

Just about everyone you encounter is facing a storm you know nothing about. Kindness, compassion, patience and gentleness are just about always appropriate.

There’s enough negativity in the world. Try to be a rainbow of hope. Peace be with you.
