Miami Hurricanes Land Verbal Commitment From BIG Lamar Williams, Blue Chip WR's Visit Again
The Miami Hurricanes have landed a verbal commitment from 6-7, 280 lb offensive tackle Lamar Williams. Williams is from Havana, FL, near Tallahassee. He chose Miami over Florida State, West Virginia, Maryland and others. Williams is a tad raw but has a very high ceiling and can be developed by Miami offensive line coach Alex Mirabal. Williams is rated 4-stars by Rivals and 3-stars by On3.
Host Alex Donno breaks down the Williams commitment and the trend of Miami going after tall linemen in recent cycles. The Hurricanes are trying to land 6-8 Owen Strebig this Thursday. Donno recaps follow up visits by blue chip receivers Jaime Ffrench, Vernell Brown and Adrian Wilson. Miami also got 4-star cornerback Chris Ewald back on campus over the weekend. Alex reacts to the “street racing” charges being dropped against Hurricanes WR Jacolby George.
