“The Gambler” is a new movie to be released on Christmas Day. The screenplay is based on a movie of the same name from 1974. On this week’s show we are going to discuss gambling as an addiction. Is it, or not?
The Holidays can bring lots of activities to the forefront that are sometimes hidden. I have noticed in the recent weeks that some of the new movie releases focus on some of the issues that seem to become emphasized at the holidays. The new movie “The Gambler” is one that comes to mind. Gambling is entertainment, sometimes fun, sometimes stressful, and sometimes an addiction. Recently I’ve heard of people who “upped” their gambling activity in hopes of bringing in more money to spend for the holidays. Think about that.
