Denise speaks with Barry Lessin, a licensed psychologist and certified advanced alcohol and drug counselor in private practice in suburban Philadelphia working with teens, young adults, and their families. He has worked in the addictions treatment field for over 35 years as an administrator, educator, researcher, and clinician. He speaks about the fact that people use drugs for a reason, the need for compassion, taking small positive steps, and flexibility in discussions with kids, among other topics.
