10@9 Torah Prohibits Domestic Abuse - February 5, 2024

This morning we discuss how the prohibition of all forms of domestic abuse is a theme that runs through our weekly Torah portion, Mishpatim. Physical, verbal, and emotional abuse are all explicitly prohibited. We explore the signs to look for, in ourselves and in others, as so many people cannot imagine or believe they are actually going through this. We discuss the Nexflix series, "Maid," an excellent, difficult-to-watch series that accurately portrays what many women experience. And we discuss local resources, especially Auberge Shalom, which does amazing, life-saving work. Anyone is welcome to contact me confidentially to discuss any aspect of this. There is help!
