BONUS EPISODE: Miami Loses GM Alonzo Highsmith To Patriots Front Office And DB Coach Jahmile Addae To Bills
The Miami Hurricanes are losing their GM of football operations. First reported by The Athletic, Alonzo Highsmith is returning to the NFL in a role with the New England Patriots front office. Highsmith has served the past two football seasons in his role at The U. Reportedly, the job at Miami never materialized into the autonomy or influence that he had expected. The GM job was created for him. Miami was among the first schools to offer this position but it’s now becoming more common.
The Hurricanes are also losing defensive backs coach Jahmile Addai to the NFL. Reported by Bruce Feldman of The Athletic, Addae will become the cornerbacks coach with the Buffalo Bills. It’s becoming more and more common for college coaches to seek NFL opportunities. Host Alex Donno explains why he has mixed feelings about Addae’s exit. Who will Mario Cristobal hire to replace him? Can we bring Demarcus Van Dyke back to The U?
