S16: We Aren't Experts, But They Are E3: Lisa Candera, The Autism Mom Coach

Have you ever considered what support you need in this life and parenting journey? Often as parents of children with additional needs, we have limited time left to share with ourselves. To truly reflect on the path we are taking and to understand where we are right now in the moment. We had the opportunity to speak with Lisa Candera, who helped us remember that it is not only about raising our beautiful children but also about understanding how important it is to reflect on our feelings and emotions on this path. Lisa is wealthy of knowledge. As a Mother, she understands our journey and looks at each person as an individual.

Lisa Candera is a full-time single mother to teens with ASD, OCD, and anxiety and a life coach for moms raising kids with ASD. She helps Type A Moms raising kids with ASD to prevent burnout. Lisa created The Autism Mom Coach to teach moms raising kids with Autism how to show up as the parent they want to be, even when parenthood looks nothing as they imagined.
