Anthony Bolden is a dynamic youth development professional, community leader, and public speaker and facilitator. He has served in a number of diverse leadership roles for institutions of higher learning, faith-based organizations, and local nonprofit organizations. Anthony recently accepted the opportunity to serve as the new Director of Programs for Chicago Debates. Most recently Anthony served as the Program Manager for PEAK - Partnership to Educate and Advance Kids in Chicago, IL. During his time there Anthony successfully helped the organization increase student enrollment, raise student academic performance, and secure critical partnerships with college access organizations across the city. Prior to that role, Anthony served as the Youth and Young Adult Pastor for the Oakwood University Church located on the campus of Oakwood University in Huntsville, AL. While there Anthony helped lead the operation of a 3000+ member congregation. He created numerous service and training opportunities for the undergraduate student population of Oakwood University, and created new partnerships with Title 1 schools in the Greater Huntsville Area. On the academic front, Anthony is a lover of education and believes that it is the ultimate equalizer for all individuals regardless of their socio-economic situation. He is a proud alumnus of the prestigious Choate Rosemary Hall Summer John F. Kennedy '35 Institute in Government. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and a Master of Arts in Pastoral Studies from Oakwood University, and a Graduate Certification in Nonprofit Management from North Park University.
