Which Miami Hurricanes Have The Biggest Shoes To Fill Next Season? Should Miami Add These Players?
The Miami Hurricanes lost some important players to the NFL draft and into the Transfer Portal. Which players have the biggest shoes to fill in 2024? While Tyler Van Dyke was inconsistent, new starting quarterback Cam Ward has the most important job on the team, filling the void left by TVD. Transfer safeties Mishael Powell and Savion Riley will try to fill the spots left by future NFL Draft picks Kam Kinchens and James Williams. Transfer center Zach Carpenter will try and fill the shoes of Matt Lee, while former NC State defensive tackle CJ Clark will fill the spot left by Leonard Taylor.
Host Alex Donno discusses the opportunities these players have and describes the feedback from Miami’s offseason workouts. Cam Ward is reportedly conducting himself like an NFL Player (per Gaby Urrutia at Inside The U) while Albany transfer QB Reese Poffenbarger has also been impressive. Second year linebacker Bobby Washington is making freakish gains in the weight room. Donno wonders if Miami should go after Syracuse transfer WR Damien Alford and Michigan signee LB Jaden Smith. Alford was reportedly dismissed from the Orange, while Smith is seeking a release from his national letter of intent after Michigan’s coaching change.
