This evening we discuss the curious order of Torah portions in the second half of Shemot (Book of Exodus), exploring Dr. Abraham Twerski's connection between Mishpatim and Terumah, and why it is worse to give stolen funds to charity. We elaborate on Rabbi J.J. Schacter's insight into why the Aron (Ark) was not solid gold but gold-plated. We explore the deep wisdom of folk aphorisms according the the Rav, Rabbi Yosef Soloveitchik, demonstrating with a song by White Stripes. And I share my mission statement, the first Dvar Torah I shared in Montreal.
