Nothing Without Hope and Confidence

Today’s reflection is more of a prayer:

Dear God,

In the midst of our difficulties and struggles, in the midst of our hardships and pain, we pray that you give us the hope we need to see our way through and the confidence in ourselves to believe we will overcome somehow, some way. 

Give us the type of optimism that leads us to achieving, the type of faith that keeps getting up when it’s been knocked down. Give us the type of optimism that leaves no room for bitterness. 

Give the hope and confidence we need to make the world a better place from the inside out. 

In your name we pray. Peace be with you.
