Cam Ward Talks About Early Miami Hurricanes Impressions, Chevis Jackson New DB Coach, Elijah Alston
New Miami Hurricanes quarterback Cam Ward signed autographs at the Canes team store over the weekend and discussed his early impressions at Miami. Ward spoke highly of teammates Xavier Restrepo, Jacolby George, Anez Cooper and Jalen Rivers. Ward expects Miami to have one of the best locker rooms in the country and already appreciates the chemistry. Ward comes off extremely humble and hard working. Meanwhile, Miami appears to have a new defensive backs coach. Multiple reports are linking Marshall cornerbacks coach Chevis Jackson to the gig. He will reunite with Miami DC Lance Guidry.
Host Alex Donno reacts to Ward’s comments and discusses what makes Jackson a strong hire to coach Miami’s defensive backs. New Miami edge rusher Elijah Alston has been ranked as the number one transfer edge by Pro Football Focus. Will he be the next Greg Rousseau or Jaelan Phillips at The U? Donno explains why Mario Cristobal will hopefully not end up as Miami’s version of what Jimbo Fisher was at Texas A&M.
