#109 | Shar Tui'asoa | Cultural representation, love for art, and lessons from life
Shar Tui'asoa is a Polynesian freelance illustrator from the island of O’ahu. Her illustrations are modern, fun and elegant, and painted with the lush colors of the island. She started Punky Aloha Studio in the summer of 2018 which houses various branches of illustration work, ranging from murals, freelance and client work, product sales, fine art, and licensing. She has worked as a freelance illustrator with the multiple editorial clients on O’ahu including Honolulu Magazine, Hawai’i Magazine, and Hawai’i business Magazine. She has also created artwork for big companies like Apple, Facebook, Disney, Pixar, AT&T, and Sephora. Shar has also published the first of two picture books as an author and illustrator for Harper kids, an imprint of Harper Collins.
