New Leadership at Wisconsin Cattlemen's Association: President Tressa Lacy Takes The Lead
Tressa Lacy from Rio is the new president of the WI Cattlemen's Association (WCA), and despite the name - Lacy wants more women to find their voice in the organization. She says there's at least 10,000 beef producers in Wisconsin but that number's not reflected in their membership. She explains what her goals are for the year ahead to help with that.
Originally hailing from Missouri and now calling Wisconsin home since 2017, Lacy and her husband embarked on their journey in the beef world when they purchased their farm in 2018. Driven by a desire to connect with like-minded individuals in the industry, she joined the WCA, where she quickly immersed herself in various roles within the association. From serving as co-chair for the Winter Conference to leading the Publications Committee, her dedication and leadership qualities were soon recognized, culminating in her election as President-elect in 2021.
"I believe in the power of community and collaboration," [Name] remarked. "As a young female in a predominantly male organization, I hope to serve as a welcoming presence and inspire others to join us in our mission. Together, we can strengthen our voice and drive positive change within the beef industry."
