In today's episode I talk to Hamed Amiri.
Hamed Amiri is a respected and accomplished motivational speaker, author and playwright.
Yet his story started out very differently to his life today.
Hamed became a refugee when he was ten years old and endured a harrowing eighteen months journey from his home in Afghanistan.
He and his family embarked upon a perilous trip to seek safety in the UK in an attempt to prolong his bother's life.
Hamed has been public speaking for over ten years, sharing the lessons he learnt along the way of his trials and tribulations, which has allowed him to be able to inspire thousands of people over the years from all walks of life.
He is the author of a best-selling book, which has been adapted for the stage for the theatre production of “The Boy With Two Hearts” at Wales Millennium Centre and the National Theatre in London.
Hamed’s life is a story of success, from not being able to speak a single word of English to being able to write a best selling book which was a BBC4 Book of the Week, to appearing in articles in the Guardian to the BBC.
Hamed shares his deeply moving life story that encompasses the frailties and triumphs of the human spirit. A profoundly open and honest exploration of one man's struggle against the odds to overcome adversity and challenges out of his control and the journey to turning his life around and being a voice of inspiration.
