“Talk without being offensive. Listen without being defensive. Always leave your opponent with their dignity.” - John Hope Bryant
I am fully convinced that our ability to build a better future depends on our capacity to listen to each other, communicate with each other, and respect each other.
So, “Let our conversation be always full of grace, seasoned with salt, so that we may know how to communicate with everyone.” -(Colossians 4:6)
Let us show proper respect to everyone. (1 Peter 2). Because giving respect is really just an extension of loving our neighbors as ourselves.
Lastly, It’s hard for us to listen when we have already made our minds. But most of us want to be heard, understood, and taken seriously. Let us extend this grace to everyone. Let us first listen to understand rather than respond.
Speak. Listen. Give Respect. I’m Horace McMillon. This has been 60 Seconds of Hope. Peace be with you.
