Will Mike Woodson Get Another Year? Stephen Holder, Dustin Dopirak, and Mike Schumann Join!
(00:00-26:51) – Query & Company opens on a Tuesday with Derek Schultz, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison with Jake out to start the show on jury duty. The show opens with Derek sharing his opinion on where things are at right now with the IU basketball program. Jimmy states that he thinks it’s almost 50/50 right now with Mike Woodson returning next season.
(26:51-44:39) – Mike Schumann from the Daily Hoosier joins Query & Company with Derek Schultz and Jimmy Cook to reveal when he first started to feel this could be a down season for Indiana, weighs in on the debate that Xavier Johnson and Trey Galloway impacted Indiana’s ability to land a scoring guard in the transfer portal, and states that Indiana fans are thirsty for relevancy and success even more because of all the other sports on campus having success besides the two big revenue sports.
(44:39-53:31) – Hour one concludes with Derek and Jimmy discussing the Colts free agents. Additionally, they touch on the Pacers loss last night to the Toronto Raptors and examine some of the top storylines.
(44:00-1:17:26) – ESPN.com’s Stephen Holder joins the program for his weekly visit and agrees with Derek that it has been a quiet time for the Colts since their season ended. Additionally, he weighs in on the Brock Bowers dilemma if he’s available for Indianapolis, accesses the Colts pass rush after one of the best seasons as a defensive unit, deciphers if the Colts offensive needs will outweigh the defensive needs if two players they love are available in the first round, and what he wants to hear from Shane Steichen and Chris Ballard tomorrow.
(1:10:11-1:30:54) – After a pair of segments earlier in the show about Indiana, Derek Schultz and Jimmy Cook spend some time discussing the season the Purdue Boilermakers have had and why they’re in the boat of that they need to see the March success after the regular season domination the last two years. Additionally, they touch on who they need to see more minutes and production from to last longer in the NCAA Tournament.

(1:34:14-2:07:43) – IndyStar’s Pacers beat reporter Dustin Dopirak joins Derek Schultz, Jake Query, and Jimmy Cook to share his thoughts on the Pacers loss to the Toronto Raptors last night. Accesses Jake’s opinion that the Pacers have struggled in games in which Bennedict Mathurin has had it going offensively. Finally, he shares his opinion on if Jarace Walker will start playing more minutes the final 23 games of the season and if he anticipates a minutes restriction for Aaron Nesmith when he returns from his ankle injury.
(2:07:43-2:23:27) – Derek, Jake, and Jimmy come back from break by shifting their conversation back to Indiana basketball. Derek asks Jake for his opinion on Mike Woodson and what he needs to be successful. Finally, they debate if Woodson should be given another season after one bad season.
