Good News for All. Especially for Those Who Embrace It

“That is why we labor and strive, because we have put our hope in the living God, who is the Savior of all people, and especially of those who believe.” - 1 Timothy 4:10
The season of Lent contains two components:
First, we mourn. We grieve the brokenness in the world, the brokenness in our communities, the brokenness in our families, and the brokenness in ourselves. We acknowledge the roles we have played or failed to play in remedying this state of affairs.
The second part of lent embraces a positive vision of the world. We believe in a world where the hungry are fed, the naked are clothed, the stranger is welcomed, the sick are cared for, the prisoner is remembered, and the brokenhearted are mended.
This vision of the world is good news for everyone- especially for those who embrace it.
I’m Horace McMillon and this is “60 Seconds of Hope”. Peace be with you.
