This evening we discuss Moshe's confrontational approach to asking God to forgive the Jewish People for the Golden Calf, and how that benefits every one of us. We explore when and why God commanded building the Mishkan. Was it the original plan, or a change of mind? With that, we analyze the motif repeated throughout the next two Parshiot 21 times, God decides how God is served. Michael Whitman is the senior rabbi of ADATH Congregation in Hampstead, Quebec, and an adjunct professor at McGill University Faculty of Law. ADATH is a modern orthodox synagogue community in suburban Montreal, providing Judaism for the next generation.
