Salford City 0-2 Gillingham: All hail the Gills!

The Gills battled Salford, and the inclement weather conditions, to claim a well-deserved 2-0 away win at the Peninsula Stadium as Stephen Clemence’s men bounced straight back into the League 2 playoff places.

Goals from Shad Ogie – his first for the Gills – and Tim Dieng secured the three points on the road in a game played on a shocker of a pitch as the weather went from drizzle to rain to a full-on hailstorm.

Despite the conditions, the Gills put on a professional away performance to secure the victory and, after the team’s 16th league win of the season, James, Josh and Dave discuss the performance and the growing optimism around the side as the run-in draws ever closer.
