Evans was set to hit free agency for the first time in his legendary career, but the two sides were able to come to an agreement that will likely allow the future Hall of Famer to finish his NFL run where it started. The No. 7 overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft out of Texas A&M, Evans was the first draft pick of general manager Jason Licht’s tenure, and has become the best offensive player in franchise history. Evans is the only player in NFL history to begin his career with 10 straight seasons of at least 1,000 receiving yards. Last year, at 30 years old, Evans turned in one of the best seasons of his career, catching 79 passes for 1,255 yards and a league-high 13 touchdowns.
