The View from GenZ. With 27 yr/old Rep. Maxwell Frost
Congressman Maxwell Frost of Florida is the youngest member of Congress, elected when he was only 25 years old. He's the first Afro-Cuban member of Congress. Frost was a mover and shaker before he was elected to Congress, active in campaigns for Hillary Clinton, Bernie Sanders, and Barack Obama and National Organizing Director for the March for Our Lives for gun safety. And the Congressman is leading the Democratic Party's efforts to inspire and energize young voters. Frost and Bill discuss President Biden's State of the Union address, the border crisis, the situation in Gaza, TikTok, gun violence, climate change, and the political landscape in Florida. Frost praised Biden's speech and his handling of the issues, particularly highlighting his efforts to address the climate crisis and gun violence. He expressed frustration with Congress's lack of action on gun violence prevention and emphasized the need for transformative legislation to combat climate change. Frost also discussed the changing political landscape in Florida, noting that progressive and Democratic policies are gaining some traction in the state.
