Guest: Sonya Sklaroff has been a professional artist in New York City for 30 years. She received her BFA from the Rhode Island School of Design and her MFA from Parsons School of Design where she is currently an associate professor. She has exhibited her work in galleries internationally and her paintings can be seen in public, corporate, and museum collections worldwide. Since March of 2020, Sonya has been working on a series of Pandemic Paintings. These works incorporate aspects of her daily life using her imagination, her dreams, elements of the city, and expressive color to create a profound and personal new body of work.
Her new limited edition artist book, “Pandemic Paintings: Sonya Sklaroff” has just been published, with a preface by the celebrated chef, Rachael Ray.
