“Rather, use your freedom to serve one another in love; that's how freedom grows.” - from Galatians 5
Paul then known as Saul lived somewhat of a tortured life prior his being literally knocked over by God’s love on the road to Damascus.
Despite all of his study, despite all of his religious practices, he never felt good enough. Religion was a heavy burden that he struggled to meet and never quite did.
Further, he projected his struggles onto everyone around him. He persecuted those around him who did not share his beliefs and did not practice the way he practiced.
Paul’s mystical experience showed him that he didn’t have to earn God’s love. He simply needed to receive it. He didn’t need to make others think and practice the way he did. He simply needed to love them.
Love set him free. Loving others helps set them free.
I’m Horace McMillon. This is 60 Seconds of Hope. Peace be with you.
