However, his wife followed Jennifer inside the hospital and discovered that she was nowhere to be found. The following morning, Hann contacted Jennifer's supposed friend and learned that she had never stayed there. Eventually, the Pans confronted their daughter, who admitted that she had never attended the University of Toronto and had been staying at her boyfriend's house. Feeling betrayed, Hann initially banished Jennifer from the house, but his wife convinced him to allow her to stay under strict rules.
