When it comes to basic houseplant care, Jan suggests you skip the store bought potting mixes, and develop your own. Water your moss poles frequently, and provide containers that are not too big or too small. You’ll have lots of success with a good basis and the willingness to adjust.

Connect With Jan Gettmann:
Jan Gettmann, aka the SydneyPlantGuy likes to grow aroids indoors. He set himself the challenge to grow them as large as possible using moss poles. These allow Monsteras, Pothos, Philodendrons, and more to mature much like they would in their natural habitat. By creating content about moss poles and houseplants that is informative and fun, Jan inspires others to grow giant statement piece plants at home as well.
