Patenting Vandalism Proof Seat Inserts with Rich Goldstein

In this episode…When a product is marked as patent pending, it tends to keep people away. They avoid copying it. They know there's something about it that's unique and copying it would amount to patent infringement. And because it is pending, they can't really find out what the patent is going to be for. It offers a great deal of psychological protection for the inventor and it serves as a notice for other people that there will be some rights accorded to the patent owner if the patent is granted.
Such was the case with one of Rich Goldstein's clients. His client sought to find a solution to bus seat vandalism. He came up with a unique idea for making the seat inserts vandalism proof and with the help of Rich, he was able to patent his idea and was able to secure his own success story.
In this episode, Rich Goldstein gets interviewed by Dr. Jeremy Weisz of Rise25 Media where they talk about the patenting process for Rich’s inventor client, what the pending patent status really means, and the grace period provided for the patent application of unique products. Stay tuned.
