Purdue Heading to the Sweet Sixteen! Alan Karpick, Mike Chappell, and IUPUI AD Luke Bosso Joins!
(00:00-23:59) – Query & Company opens on a Monday with Jake Query, Jimmy Cook, and producer Eddie Garrison discussing the two wins Purdue picked up in the NCAA Tournament to advance to the Sweet Sixteen. Additionally, they briefly preview their next opponent in the Gonzaga Bulldogs. Finally, Jake asks Jimmy how his trip to Las Vegas went last weekend.
(23:59-45:31) – Alan Karpick, president and publisher of GoldAndBlack.com, joins Query & Company to share his thoughts on the Boilermakers dominance over Utah State yesterday, access if he’s seen a different level of focus and determination from Zach Edey in the first two tournament games, previews their upcoming game against Gonzaga knowing the two teams are different from their game earlier in the season, and then shares which game through the first two rounds got his attention.
(45:31-46:54) – Hour one concludes with Jake welcoming James from the Colts complex to ask him his early thoughts on what Joe Flacco had to say to the media after signing his contract earlier in the afternoon.
(46:54-1:12:28) – The Dean, Mike Chappell, of CBS4 and FOX59 joins Jake Query & Jimmy Cook for his weekly appearance on the program to share why the owner meetings are important. Chappell reveals that Colts Owner Jim Irsay is not in attendance for the meetings, shares his thoughts on L’Jarius Sneed heading to Tennessee, reacts to the update that Shane Steichen gave on Anthony Richardson down in Orlando at the owners meeting, and if he finds it hard to process the team’s offseason considering they only added one player from outside the team’s building.
(1:12:28-1:27:10) – With team’s seasons coming to an end over the weekend, there has been some movement amongst head coaches. Jake and Jimmy highlight some of the moves, including Dusty May to Michigan. They highlight the three jobs that are open and which one is the more intriguing to perspective head coaches.
(1:27:10-1:33:15) – The one o’clock hour concludes with Jake and Jimmy continuing their previous conversation about power five basketball head coaching jobs that are open.
(1:33:15-1:56:33) – The final hour of the show starts with Jake, Jimmy, and Eddie discussing the Pacers loss last night to the Los Angeles Lakers and then preview tonight’s game against the LA Clippers. Additionally, they try to figure out what the blueprint to beat Purdue is. There are a lot of things that teams have tried to do but were unsuccessful. Also, the three guys try to access which region has the toughest remaining teams in it.
(1:56:33-2:13:27) – IUPUI, soon to Indiana University of Indianapolis, athletic director Luke Bosso joins the program to explain why he felt like Paul Corsaro was the right person for the job, shares some of the things that stood out to the search committee when interview Corsaro for the job, reveals what the first steps are for Corsaro now that the hire is official, and states what the expectations are for the Jaguars next season.
(2:13:27-2:19:03) – Today’s show ends with Jimmy sharing his JCook Plays of the Day! JMV joins the fellas in studio as well to talk about the Pacers loss last night and his Indiana State Sycamores.
