The Wanda Beach Murders were the unsolved murders of Mary Ann Schmidt and Christine Scherrick at Wanda Beach near Cronulla in Sydney, Australia on January 11, 1965. The girls went to the beach with a group of siblings and friends, but they separated from the group and were later found dead in the sand hills. The case remains unsolved, with three main suspects: Derek Percy, Christopher Wilder, and Alan Bassett. However, none of them have been definitively linked to the murders. The Wanda Beach Murders is the oldest unsolved homicide case in Australia.
