Why Do Electricians Test Everything As Skilled Tradesmen

EICR, PAT Testing, Periodic Tests, Continuity..... The list goes ON and ON

Is it an obsession for electricians to test everything?

Maybe..... Its drilled into you at college so much. Isn't it over the top the amount of testing electricians do?

There must be a reason for all this testing and safe isolation, but what is it?

When you understand the reason you do something, your more likely to do it.

When you don't completely understand why, you may cut a few corners and not bother. Yeah you may get away with it a couple of times.

It only takes that one time for something to go wrong, for a fire to start and lives to be lost.

After that you will make a point of testing everything twice - If you are alive to get another chance.

Learn from other peoples mistake that I have found over the years, where a simple test before they leave would have saved the customer time and money.
