The Hot Chick gets Freaky

This week on The Pod Charles Cinecast, presented by The Prince Charles Cinema, our hosts Jonathan Foster and Fil Freitas get their hands on a pair of mystical earrings that cause them to swap places with each other.

It's Week 4, the final week, of WHAT ARE THE RULES : the body-swapping mini-arc, and we've completely jumped the shark with the 2002 Happy Madison production – THE HOT CHICK, starring Rob Schneider, Anna Faris and sort of Rachel McAdams.

Some things are better left in the past... Like body-swapping earrings, homophobic jokes, tube tops and, well, this movie... Join us, as we try to make sense of this tonally all over the place film, and try to find any bit of merit from it. Through the modern lens, needless to say it hasn't aged very well, and it found us exploring the recent gender-bending body swap, FREAKY.

Dive into this two-for-one (sorta) episode, and just remember, you shake it more than twice, you're playing with it...
