In this bonus episode of Doki Doki Radio, the Uni-Tablist curated a cafe friendly vinyl mix from the latin influenced corners of the Shibuya-kei genre.
This mix was originally believed to be lost in a hard drive wipe in 2018. The MP3 was recently discovered on a backup disk laying around Tatami Studio and it makes the perfect companion to our coffee episode which we had just released.
Artist in this mix includes songs by Towa Tei, The Cymbals, Sunaga t Experience, Cibo Motto, and more. The photo for this episode is of Okamoto Kumi (a.k.a. Kumisolo). She appears on the song House by the group Soft Landing Service. Her more recent album, Kabuki Femme Fatale (2017) is a recent Doki Doki discovery and is worth checking out.
What are you waiting for? Sit down in your favorite chair, get your favorite book, pour yourself a cup of coffee, and enjoy your visit to Le Café Doki Doki.
