This morning we discuss why our Parsha (weekly Torah Portion - Shmini), begins "On the eighth day..." when in fact it was the first day of normal Mishkan worship? We analyze an insight of Rabbi Dovid Feinstein, which illuminates a central theme of every important goal we seek (especially every spiritual goal), and explore how this compliments the message of last week's special Torah reading, Parshat Parah (the Red Heifer). Michael Whitman is the senior rabbi of ADATH Congregation in Hampstead, Quebec, and an adjunct professor at McGill University Faculty of Law. ADATH is a modern orthodox synagogue community in suburban Montreal, providing Judaism for the next generation.
