In a couple of weeks, voters in Fogo Island-Cape Freels district will go to the polls in a byelection to replace the late Derrick Bragg. Sometime after that, Baie Verte-Green Bay electors will choose a successor to retired MHA Brian Warr. Running elections and byelections isn't cheap, so donors will play a big role in supporting the candidates. But in this province, there are no limits on corporate or union donations, and Democracy Watch says that's a problem.
