Teri Arranga and Kristin Selby-Gonzalez welcome Alex Doman, founder and CEO of Advanced Brain Technologies, an innovative neuro-technology company that provides brain-based solutions to consumers, schools, therapy clinics, healthcare facilities, and the military. Alex is also co-founder and president of the ABT Foundation, a public charity. Creator and co-producer of the multi-award-winning Music for Babies™ music collection and collaborator on more than 50 other albums including the Sound Health® series and Music for the Mind™, Alex has trained thousands of healthcare, education, and music professionals in the application of music-based therapies around the world. From 1993-1998, he served as vice president of the National Association for Child Development and executive director of the National Academy for Child Development, international organizations founded by his father, Robert J. Doman, Jr. It was at this point that he began his training and research into developing methods to improve brain performance. He developed music programs for more than 1,500 families with special needs children. Alex has co-invented several acoustic methods to improve auditory processing and spatial perception. These include the Spatial Surround® technology used in the renowned neuro-auditory training method The Listening Program®, the cornerstone of ABT.
