Story Transcript:
En: Tel Aviv sparkles at the foot of the monastery, encompassing intertwining alleys that blend into an essential, non-negotiable hum.
En: In the residential area, on the brink of a palm tree explosion, Tamar, Miriam, and David meet.
En: David, a new immigrant from Britain, retreated from the London bustle before the city's diamond whispers.
En: "This is Israeli time," Tamar explained to him, her new apartment roommate, before lifting a bright yellow drink towards the sky.
En: Miriam, a defense student from the monastery and their gaming companion, smiled on the side.
En: "So, Israeli time," David replied, confused, "this...?"
En: Tamar hesitated briefly, then smiled.
En: "It's something you define.
En: It could be half an hour late, an hour late, never too late!"
En: Miriam looked at the bewildered David.
En: "Installation," she said with a smile, "is a bit like our culture.
En: For us, time is just a suggestion.
En: We promise to be somewhere at this time, but then we're surprised when we're late."
En: David longed for the British cultural comfort of the twelve o'clock tea whistle.
En: But he had to accept the truth: Israeli time, Israeli culture.
En: He decided to embrace it and adapt to the change, although his watch really opposed the idea.
En: On the way to the apartment, David passes through the buzzing streets of Tel Aviv.
En: He's late, but no one seems worried.
En: And then he awakens to the essence of Israeli life: the hustle of markets, the joy of life, late beach parties, and lengthy Thursday evening dinners.
En: "Israeli time," he once again mused to himself, "different, but comfortable.
He: מאוד נוח.
En: Very comfortable."
