This morning we discuss two recent news articles that expand life-saving organ transplantation, which I wholeheartedly endorse when following the guidelines of Jewish Law: a new machine, and an important advance for xenotransplantation. Don't every make fun of or denigrate a pig - it just may save your life one day. Michael Whitman is the senior rabbi of ADATH Congregation in Hampstead, Quebec, and an adjunct professor at McGill University Faculty of Law. ADATH is a modern orthodox synagogue community in suburban Montreal, providing Judaism for the next generation.
