In this episode, we explore the possibilities of one of our most valuable appendages, the thumb. Where would we be without thumbs? We couldn’t hold our coffee mug, pinch someone, deal cards or hitchhike. In our story, “Carpenter’s Thumb,” by Christopher Hawkins a man’s thumb takes on a life of its own, and its intentions are no less than murderous. Thumbs are part of what makes us human and a member of the primate family. But what about some body parts we have, but don’t really need anymore? We've got a list of leftover organs we still carry from our ancestors.
