Beginning in Proverbs 10, Solomon begins offering two-line proverbs, contrasting wisdom and foolishness, describing how we live our lives under God. Solomon hearkens back to that beautiful woman, Wisdom, that we were introduced to in chapter nine and her invitation to the banquet. The first five verses offer an antithetical parallelism, or an over and against teaching, of the wise son versus the foolish son, serving as an introduction to the righteous living that we will hear in the the next several chapters.
Rev. Jason Bredeson, pastor of Trinity Lutheran Church in Sacramento, CA, joins guest host Rev. Doug Griebenaw for Sharathon 2024 to study Proverbs 10:1-12.
