Today I’ll be reading excerpts from the book entitled The Lost Art of Silence, by Sarah Anderson, published in 2023 by Shambala publications. We’ll be looking at the chapter discussing the benefits of meditation. I’m always hesitant to use the word benefits in association with meditation because generally we try to avoid viewing meditation as goal oriented. That being said, however, we know, for a fact that there are verifiable physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual benefits that result from a regular meditation practice.
