Yet as Dan Buettner covers in the Blue Zones which showcase the healthiest places in the world, most of them have some grains as a dietary staple. Overall, yes, we’re best to minimize grains. Just like meat. A great plate of food would have veggies as half or more of the meal and not a side item. In America we have made a staple of big portions of grains at every meal. Who didn’t grow up having bread with pretty much every meal? And we generally choose the least nutrient dense, life-giving options.
