“The most common way people give up their power is by thinking they don’t have any.” –Alice Walker
We are not all given the same opportunities and resources to begin our lives. And some of us encounter real challenges, obstacles and setbacks. Sometimes these are of our own making, sometimes not.
We may not always get to choose our circumstances, but we always have the power to decide how we will respond to our circumstances. We get to determine our attitude. We get to set our goals, identify our resources, and then decide how to use the resources we have in service of those goals.
“For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” - 2 Timothy 1:7
We can’t be timid. With the power of love and self discipline we can change the world- starting with our own.
I’m Horace McMillon. This is 60 Seconds of Hope. Peace be with you.
