How to Improve Your Doctor-Patient Relationship and get the care you need I don't know about you, but I've been struggling with getting quality medical care. I've asked around and many people I know have been having the same issue. So I started thinking, is it the doctor? Or could it be...
US? Well, I've used Dr. Bluestein's advice for my last hospital stay and last 3 office visits, and it's made a huge difference!! (ok, I did not take it at the end of my hospital stay...but more on that later. Did that end well? no.)
The two things to remember from this episode:
- Be concise. Bring your one-sheet. don't share a long story about what happened, just share the facts.
- Give the physician time to think. Allow silences during your visit so they can read the chart and think about what's happening. Letting them think through things while you are silent will allow them to give your condition more attention and come to a clearer conclusion.
