In this week's episode, Shanti announces a much-needed mental health break, while Antoinette shares her gratitude for her 2 Webby Wins for her other podcast "Can't Afford Therapy". Together we discuss the recent political events and mass graves uncovered in Gaza and highlight the funding bill signed by President Biden, which includes aid for Ukraine, Israel, and humanitarian aid for conflict zones worldwide. On a lighter note, for pop-culture, we discuss Beyoncé's long hair and the way she silenced all the skeptics. In the final part of the conversation, delve into a detailed analysis of an episode of Jerrod Carmichael's show, exploring themes of family dysfunction, infidelity, and the search for connection and healing. The conversation ends with a reflection on the complexity of the relationships and the potential for growth and understanding. Join us.

Al Otro Lado
I recently learned about an organization called Al Otro Lado, which works to reunify families– they provide holistic legal and humanitarian support to refugees, deportees, and other migrants in the US and Tijuana through a multidisciplinary, client-centered, harm reduction-based practice.
Since 2018, they’ve reunified over 100 refugee families ripped apart by Trump’s “Zero Tolerance” policy. Once reunited, Al Otro Lado helps each family to find legal representation, housing, and the counseling that they need in order to heal and get on their feet.
The best way to get involved is by filling out an application on their website at https://alotrolado.org/volunteer
