CIO Podcast - Episode 74: Ambient Clinical Voice with Ray Lowe
For the 74th episode of the CIO podcast hosted by Healthcare IT Today, we are joined by Ray Lowe, SVP and CIO at AltaMed! We kick this episode off by discussing how the role of CIO is different at an FQHC than at other organizations. Then Lowe shares with us the patient experience projects he is actively working on and discusses how those projects have changed over time. Next, we debate over ambient clinical voice to decide if it is real or if it’s all just hype. We transition this debate into how Lowe himself is approaching ambient clinical voice. Lowe then shares with us the other AI projects he is working on as well as the AI projects he is considering. We then move on to the Change Healthcare breach and discuss how this has impacted things in healthcare now and theorize what the long-term impacts will be. Lastly, we wrap this episode up with Lowe passing along career advice to any aspiring CIOs.
