We have some amazing updated for the World's Betfair Horse Racing Software!
Summary
Various new strategy rules in the software
Key Points
Draw bias: An impact value figure showing a higher likelihood of a horse winning when it runs from a certain stall
Lengths to winner and PRB (Percentage of rivals beaten): 2 ways of gauging how prominently a horse ran
DSLW: Days since last won
Form rating: A sum of the horse's last 3 finishing positions - lower is better!
Usage Examples
Draw bias: Some stalls at some courses (e.g. Chester) have a higher propensity for making winners
Lengths to winner: If a horse lost last time out but it was a very close shave, often there can be value in the odds in its next race as the market only considers the win/loss. If it was a very close shave, maybe it stands a better chance than the odds suggest next time out? This is something many punters will not be considering
PRB: A good one to use in conjunction with pace. Pace tells you how the horse ran in the early part of the race. PRB tells you how far up the field they FINISHED the race
Form rating: A quick way of gauging a horse's relative performance over its last few races. Again this is something that's harder / more time consuming for the average punter to assess as it takes time to trawl a horse's Racing Post history
