“There are two kinds of people– those who do the work and those who take the credit. Try to be in the first group; there is less competition there.” -Indira Gandhi
How many times have we seen the work get neglected because the folk involved get distracted over who going to get the credit and who is going to get the blame?
Let us all be inspired and instructed by the examples of two early apostles, Paul and Apollo. Some of the people around them tried to set them up as rivals arguing over which of them was more important.
Rather than getting caught up in that trap, Paul pointed out how they both contributed. “I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God has been making it grow.” (1 Cor. 3:6).
Ultimately, we just need to focus on doing the work and give God credit for whatever good is produced.
I’m Horace McMillon. This is 60 Seconds of Hope. Peace be with you.
