Carolina Hurricanes Look to Avoid Elimination Against New York Rangers, While Washington Capitals Search for Offensive Solutions

The Carolina Hurricanes are having a hard time in their series against the New York Rangers and must win their next game to avoid elimination. The Hurricanes have had trouble with their special teams, with their power play having only scored five goals in 30 opportunities. The Rangers, on the other hand, have been playing well and have scored ten goals in 29 power play opportunities. The Hurricanes are trying to improve their special teams and recognize that their power play needs to score more goals to win games. The Washington Capitals' General Manager, Brian MacLellan, is trying to find ways to improve the team's offense. The Capitals struggled to score goals during the regular season, averaging only 2.63 goals per game. Key players like Nicklas Backstrom, Evgeny Kuznetsov, and Anthony Mantha were out due to injuries or other issues. MacLellan is looking to add more goals to the team and is hoping some of the Capitals' younger players can step up. He's also considering trades and free agency to add more talent to the roster.
